Pine Bark Extract

The Pine bark extract in COR-Restor's Nitric Oxide Booster comes from the inner bark of certain European pine trees and contains active compounds of powerful antioxidants called oligomeric proanthocyanidin compounds (OPCs). Often times, OPCs are sold under the trademarked name Pycnogenol®, and are also found in grape seed extract.

According to The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), OPCs appear to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral and antimicrobial actions.

Pine Bark Extract is in fact one of the most powerful natural antioxidants in the world today. Not only is it strong , it is one of a few known antioxidants that are able to cross the blood-brain barrier in order to protect and carry oxygen to the brain.

Pine Bark Extract boosts the immune system, supports the cardiovascular and circulatory systems and improves lung function.

Pine Bark Extract enhances endurance, making it possible for you to work out longer without feeling fatigue by providing you with the energy that you need. It also inhibits leg cramps and improves joint flexibility.

Recent studies show that Pine Bark Extract has an important function of selectively binding collagen and elastin, two essential components of healthy, youthful skin. By doing so, skin elasticity and tone are improved, giving your skin an even younger and healthier glow.

Pine Bark extract has uses for treating chronic venous dysfunction. DrugDigest.org says, "Pine Bark extract has also been shown effective in the treatment of high blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, various inflammation-related conditions and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as help in preventing cancer."  Sloan-Kettering notes, "Pine Bark extract can help treat easy bruising, varicose veins, edema, diabetes and diabetic neuropathy or retinopathy, hemorrhoids, premenstrual syndrome and traveler’s thrombosis." According to the UPMC "You might take Pine Bark extract to help support weight loss and improve night vision, as well as to treat lupus, menopausal symptoms, periodontal disease, asthma, allergies and liver cirrhosis."

Pine Bark extract has also, in research performed by Dr. Yukihito Higashi, been shown to improve Nitric Oxide synthesis, which helps neurotransmitters perform with greater efficiency. It also improves the life of Nitric Oxide synthesis.
